Days: Wednesday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:30 pm (12 hours shift)
Nights: Sunday - Tuesday 6:30 pm - 6:30 am (12 hours shift)
Job Location: Duha Color Services Winnipeg (750 Bradford St. Winnipeg, MB)
Reporting To: Department Manager
General Job Description:
The Bagger Operator is responsible for day-to-day functions such as machine set up, operation, preparing for shipping, and miscellaneous duties as required. Follow all safety procedures, understand all safety equipment and adhere to the company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machine set-up-adjust feeders for stock size, set up a counter, adjust guide rails, length of the card, crimper speed, a knife between cards, etc.
- Machine operation-check counter to ensure correct count, ensure the feeder is full, communicate with an assistant when the new card is approaching the line, remove the rejected product, fix jams, etc.
- Labeling and double-checking box to ensure information is correct
- Prepare for shipping-prepare & check the manifest and the master list, inventory manifest, and skid for shipping
- Bagging Database entries
- Compliance with safety policies and requirements
- General clean-up of the area
- Miscellaneous other duties as required including running other machinery
Job Qualification and Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organization
- Must have the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Positive work ethic and excellent attendance record
- Ability to keep records, write legibly and communicate in English
- Must be able to lift material weighing 50lbs maximum
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Level 12 G.E.D.
- Machine operator/production experience as an asset
- Knowledge of quality and safety issues
- Sheet fed machine experience is an asset
- Computer experience is an asset
